BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- Two Palestinians were hurt by Israeli police fire after they drove through a roadblock in the northern West Bank on Sunday, Israeli police said.

Locals identified one of the wounded as Yasser Mohammed Nimer Abu Hamed, who was shot in the back while driving the car by the Israeli settlement Qarne Shomron, near Qalqiliya.

Police spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld said one Palestinian was moderately wounded and another lightly hurt, and both were evacuated from the scene. Israeli news site Ynet said they were being treated in a hospital in Israel's Kfar Saba.

Rosenfeld said the pair failed to stop their vehicle at a police roadblock, and "almost ran over two police officers." The officers fired warning shots towards the car, he said, noting that police were investigating the incident.

I am telling you again you must obey the law and stopped when asked to do so or pay the price. Police will not hesitate to shoot at any suspecious subject. Attempt to terrorise a policeman will be considered as a TERRORIST ACT. SO RESPECT AND ABEY THE LAWS OF THE COUNTRY YOU LIVE IN AND YOU WILL NOT GET SHOT AT. As simple of that, OR leave the country you are not happy to live in.

#1 Bullshit. The Israeli "Police" where out of their jurisdiction in the state of Palestine blocking a road that leads to a Palestinian town. They are terrorists who shouldn't be there to begin with.

Just another day in Palestine except the police roadblock shouldn't have been there. The "two police officers" who were "almost" run over shouldn't have been there (or the one who fired the "warning shots" that hit Yasser Mohammed Nimer Abu Hamed in the back) and the (illegal) settlement of Qarne Shomron shouldn't be there either because they're ALL in sovereign Palestine. (Something along those lines might have occurred to the young men as they ran the roadblock.) Let's hope before too long

#1 "Palestinians attempted to murder police with a car, and were shot in self-defense by Israeli police !!" ...in their own occupied country where they have every right to drive down a road. (I see you're barely trying any more to maintain the fiction that you're a Palestinian from Tubas.)
