1 killed, 5 injured in Hebron car crash

HEBRON (Ma'an) -- One man was killed and five injured on Saturday in a car crash on a main road connecting Bethlehem and Hebron, witnesses said.

Taha Izzat Abu Latifa, 45, was killed instantly when his car crashed into a truck, and his wife and three children, aged 5, 14, and 15, were seriously wounded, Red Crescent officials told Ma'an.

Another man, Tariq Khamis Abu Zakham, 35, was also moderately injured.

Meanwhile, two people were killed in agricultural accidents on Saturday.

Saadi Muhammad Abu Islemiya, 25, was killed in Hebron when a tractor he was driving turned over, police said.

In Jericho, a two-year old girl was accidentally killed when she became caught between a tractor and equipment it was carrying while her father was spraying pesticides in a field.
