RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli prison authorities transferred four prisoners taking part in a solidarity hunger strike on Tuesday, a representative for the detainees said.

Mahmud Ghalami said that detainee Fadi Washa was transferred to Hadarim detention center, while Sufian Rabee, Ayman Saker, and Omar Ayoub were transferred to Eshel jail from Hadarim.

Nearly 800 prisoners in Israeli jails launched a one day hunger strike on Tuesday to show solidarity with long-term hunger strikers, a prisoner group said earlier.
