NABLUS (Ma’an) – The union of West Bank teachers says protest activities will continue and Thursday will be general strike across all West Bank schools.

A spokesman of the union, Bassam Naim told Ma’an Wednesday that the union’s general secretariat decided after consultations with teachers and regional representatives to go on with protests.

He explained that the decision was taken because the Palestinian government “fragmented teachers’ monthly wages, and in response to recent remarks by the minister of finance about reductions in due salary increases.”
