Official: Israel to close Gaza crossing for Jewish holiday

GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Israeli authorities will close the Kerem Shalom crossing on Gaza's border on Sunday for the Jewish holiday of Purim, a Palestinian crossings official said Wednesday.

Nathmi Muhanna, PA crossings director, said in a statement that the Israelis had informed the Palestinian Authority of the closure.

Crossing are ran by the Israeli army. You are telling me that the soldiers go home for the holiday. Maybe. No wonder Egypt got back the suez canal on Yom Kippur, probably the soldiers were on holiday.
