BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Senior Fatah official Mohammad Shtayyeh said Friday that the Palestinian leadership is ready to negotiate if Israel stops building illegal settlements and releases Palestinian prisoners.

Shtayyeh told Ma'an an end to settlement activity and the release of prisoners were necessary for successful talks.

The Fatah central committee member's comments came in response to a report on Israel's Channel 10 that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu planned to resume talks with the PLO within three months of forming a new government.

If rockets are fired, Israel will again fight back in self-defense.
If stones are thrown, Israel will again fight back in self-defense.
And, World leaders will watch it, condemn both, but do nothing,
and so the situation will continue unchanged, where:
- Jewish "settlements" continue expanding,
- unpermitted Arab construction, under Israel's Area C sovereignty, continues to be demolished, and
- "Palestine" continues as a divided (Gaza-Areas A/B),
"Paper-State" (UNGA only) !!!

Yehuda Solomon (Israelite "self-appointed Official of Truth for Press Releases"): "Forget about our government saying it plans to resume peace talks with the Palestinians under any conditions within any time frame. It is lying like hell and only saying that because our PM has not yet formed a fully acceptable, functioning coalition in the aftermath of our recent elections. Even when done, we will continue to build and expand our settlements in Judea and Samaria (recently recognized by (cont.)

the U.N.--but not us--as the State of Palestine) and will not be releasing Palestinians held for serious crimes any time soon. Since the Fatah party on behalf of the State of Palestine has announced these conditions which we will never meet any time now or ever, any announcement by us of resuming peace talks now or ever is false, moot, deceptive and should be completely ignored. The "Office of Truth of Press Releases" apologizes for our government's lack of integrity. Thank you very much."

The US, Europe, the UN, and the entire world see:
- Israel asking Palestinians to restart Peace Negotiations, while
- Palestinians require pressure just to show-up for talks in Amman,
then refuse to or compromise, and
still refusing to restart Peace Negotiations,
unless Israel surrenders to their fantasy demands !!!

Occupiers cannot claim self-defense. They've forfeited that claim by being occupiers.
