HEBRON (Ma'an) -- A woman was stabbed to death and another seriously injured after being attacked in Hebron city center on Saturday, police said.

An unidentified man attacked the two sisters with a knife in the Ein Sarah neighborhood of the city, with both women evacuated to hospital.

One of the women died shortly after arriving at Al-Ahli Hospital and the other is in a serious condition, director of Hebron police Ramadan Awad told Ma'an.

The attacker fired gunshots in the air before fleeing the scene, security officials said.

Police have launched an investigation into the murder.

The women had recently been released from police custody after being detained for the suspected involvement in the killing of one of their husbands three years ago, Awad said.

If it is a "revenge Killing" it needs to be condemned and stopped. If it is an honor killing , it needs to be condemned and stopped. If she was indeed a killer , she should be brought ot justice. To be attacked on the street like this is Hooliganism at its best. No cvilized society supports such acts. This act should be loudly and vehemently condemned in the strongest ways and in every arena......

So called "Honor" crimes need to stop. What about the woman burned to death in Gaza too? Or the young girl discovered at the bottom of a well in Hebron last year. She did absolutely nothing wrong. There is no honor in murder. None whatsoever. People who commit murder are not following the Quran or the Bible. They are following Satan and have a 1 way ticket to eternal damnation in HELL. Abbas needs to address this issue NOW. Women's rights MUST BE RECOGNIZED.

To JoeUSA #1: ' To be attacked on the street like this is Hooliganism at its best. No cvilized society supports such acts. This act should be loudly and vehemently condemned in the strongest ways and in every arena......' Funny how you aren't as strident if the perpetrators are Jews.

sounds like the sort of killing that goes on everywhere - a payback or revenge killing. Why call it an honour killing?
