BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Palestinian anger may lead to a new intifada against Israel, a senior Hamas official said Tuesday.

Izzat al-Rishq wrote on his official Facebook page that Israeli aggression is ongoing and causes daily clashes with Palestinians.

"Netanyahu's fear and state of alert is an obvious sign that they are aware of the Palestinian anger that may lead to Intifada," al-Rishq wrote.

Israel fails to respect Palestinian holy sites and suppresses Palestinian rights, he added.

Such provocative talk is not in the best interests of anyone. As for suppressing Palestinian rights, Hamas does an impressive job of it on its own and should look in the mirror before casting stones.

When the Palestinians get together under one leader or two but agreeable for the best interest of everyone even it might turn bloody an Intifada probably will be needed. Freedom is not a right as some people might have that impression, freedom is a privilidge earned by fighting for it, it is not going to be handed in a silver platter, neither discussion or negotiation without a price tab, and I am not talking about money.
