GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- A member of Hamas' military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, died on Tuesday after a long fight against cancer, a statement from the group said.

Akram Muhammad al-Hayyeh, 44, had suffered from the disease for several years and passed away in Gaza City.
