GAZA CITY (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces raided a home in the al-Bustan neighborhood of Jerusalem on Wednesday and detained a Palestinian woman, a prisoners rights group said.
The Ahrar center for detainees studies condemned the arrest of Amani Odeh, the sister of another detainee, Muhammad Odeh, in a raid on her house at 3 a.m. Wednesday.
In a statement, the center said Israeli forces fired at men who defended Amani, and she was shot with a rubber-coated bullet in the face and transferred to an Israeli hospital for treatment.
Amani, 26, is from Silwan village in Jerusalem. She has a young child and works at Silwan medical center.
Israeli forces also detained Khaled Shweiki, 33, and Adli Maragha, 31, in the raid.
Israeli authorities did not return calls seeking comment.
