HEBRON (Ma'an) -- A 27-year-old man was found hanged on Sunday in his apartment in Sinjer, a small village in the southern West Bank, the district attorney for Dura said.

Alla Tamimi said the death was being treated as a suicide but that an autopsy would be performed to confirm the cause of death.

Police found the man's body on the balcony of his apartment, Tamimi told Ma'an.

"A rope was hanging down from the ceiling of the balcony. His brother said he found him hanged before he cut a rope circling his neck," Tamimi said.
