Turkey appoints ambassador to State of Palestine

RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Turkey's consul-general Sakir Özkan Torunlar was appointed ambassador to the State of Palestine on Tuesday.

Torunlar met with Palestinian Authority Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki in Ramallah and pledged to work to enhance cooperation between Turkey and Palestine.

Al-Maliki praised Turkey's support for Palestine, particularly its support of Palestine's successful bid to join the United Nations as a non-member state, a ministry statement said.

I would like to see Israel try and take on the Turkish army on the ground. Israel would be embarrassed and beaten. Turkey represents truth and unity for Palestine I commend them!

Unfortunatley, Erdogan has done nothing but lower American respect for Turkey. The sooner he is voted out, the more it will benefit Turkey.
