Settlers block Nablus road, throw stones at cars

NABLUS (Ma'an) -- A group of settlers blocked a main road linking Nablus and Jenin on Monday, preventing Palestinian cars from passing, a PA official said.

Settler-monitoring official Ghassan Daghlas told Ma'an that settlers from Shave Shomron blocked route 60, the main north-south highway in the West Bank.

Settlers threw stones at Palestinian cars driving in the area, causing damage to several vehicles, Daghlas said.

An Israeli army spokeswoman said that a "military exercise simulating rock hurling" was taking place near Shave Shomron, without providing further details.

Stone throwing is criminal and causes death and injury, especially when specific cars are targetted. Did Maan report the 9 incidents of rock throwing by Arabs on Saturday that were brought to the attention of an ambulance service?

# 1 - i KNEW someone would justify settlers' actions by saying Arabs did it too! The difference is that the settlers aren't under occupation by a brutal state, and they usually hold the high moral ground - you know, "look at us, - God's chosen (and the rest of you are just crap) so we are special". And speaking of the ambulance service did they attend the settlers? And when did they last attend Palestinians? As for "military exercise simulation rock throwing". Do they think we are all idiots?

#2 The settlers are also heavily armed with machine guns which they have used on many occasions to shoot and kill Palestinian villagers, and many of them have military training or are in the IDF. Settlers are the terrorists here.
