Israeli settler 'tries to hit Palestinians' near Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- A man was injured on Tuesday when an Israeli settler tried to run him over in a village near Bethlehem, local officials said.

The Israeli driver tried to run over two Palestinians who were working near the entrance to Tekoa, municipal officials told Ma'an, adding that one suffered bruising in the incident.

Witnesses told Ma'an that Israeli police arrived and took both Palestinians to the Etzion military compound.

Earlier Tuesday, a 28-year-old Palestinian died from injuries sustained when he was run over by an Israeli near Barqan settlement, west of Salfit.

Zeid Ali Rayyan, from Qarawat Bani Hassan, died in hospital, leaving behind a wife and two children.

and if the positions were reversed, ie if i was a Palestinian trying to hit an Israeli, he would have been lynched. So don't all you Israel apologists come out trying to defend this action by your "well, they did it to us so that's OK then." What is wrong with that approach is that the Palestinians involved may never have tried to harm an Israeli ever. And why were the two Palestinians taken to the military compound? Did they say something offensive when almost hit, like "shit, what was that?"
