Settlers chase Palestinians off farmland near Hebron

HEBRON (Ma’an) – Israeli settlers from Ma’on settlement near Yatta south of Hebron on Thursday vandalized summer crops in fields belonging to Palestinian farmers from Yatta, an official said.

Local popular committee spokesman Ratib al-Jubour said in a statement that settlers from the illegal settlement chased Palestinian farmers and shepherds in the nearby area al-Kharrouba.

The statement added that settlers allowed their own sheep to graze on the farmland.

The fields belong to Rabai family, according to the statement.

Settlers are not innocent people as US and European media portray them when Palestinian people defend themselves as a legitimate defense. They are armed and they are aggressors. Settlements represent illegal occupation under International Law. These criminals must be kicked out and sent out to where they came from.
