JERUSALEM (Ma’an) – Archbishop Atallah Hanna on Thursday said Palestinian prisoners are heroes and their case concerns every single Palestinian and should be raised with the US leader next week.

In a statement, Hanna called on Palestinian officials to give the issue priority during meetings with US President Barack Obama next week.

The archbishop stressed the need to defend detainees and fight for their freedom.
