Palestinians, Israeli troops clash in Hebron; 6 minors detained

HEBRON (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces detained six Palestinian minors in the southern West Bank city of Hebron and al-Tuwani village east of Yatta near Hebron on Friday.

Locals told Ma’an that clashes erupted Friday in Hebron’s Bab al-Zawiya neighborhood between young Palestinian men and Israeli troops who detained three minors.

On Thursday, Israeli troops detained five minors in Hebron before the Palestinian military liaison department convinced the Israelis to release two of them. Three remained in custody including a 10-year-old boy. The Israelis claimed they were involved in throwing stones at Israeli vehicles.



In al-Tuwani, a small village east of Yatta south of Hebron, Israeli troops stormed several homes before they detained three minors. Local sources identified them as 15-year-old Sami Hafith al-Harini, 15-year-old Malik Ghanim al-Harini and 15-year-old Basil Suleiman al-Adra.

During the Bab al-Zawiya clashes, Palestinian protesters hurled two fire bombs. An Israeli soldier caught fire and sustained minor burns.

An army spokeswoman did not immediately return calls.

- Palestinians "clashed," while Israeli troops just defended against the stone-throwing terrorism from spreading further, and though - Israeli troops "detained six" because they were engaging in the terrorism of stone-throwing, and - the Pal sesistance shold stop using "minors" both as human-shields, and for proganda purposes !!!

#2 You must be from America where 10 year olds are busy on a football field or on a baseball diamond. American boys do not see their fathers being humiliated by occupation troops. They do not see thuggish soldiers invading their home in the middle of the night. They do not see foreigners living on their family's farm , their inheritance , that they cannot set foot on. They do not see their classmate in a coffin , with a bullet in the head. Unfortunately , the Palestinian 10 year olds do.

The American history is horrible . Indian masacres , slavery and civil war. Opression of minorities etc...But we are learning , slowly but surely , that our strength is in accepting each other and creating a society where all benefit , albeit problematic at times. In Israel though , the whole society is built to serve one kind of people ( jews) , This can nevr be acceptable. There is empirical data that proves that discrimination against Arabs is rampant and systematic in Israel.....

#4 Ah! Paul. Proud Black Jew from Africa. How can Jews be black if they're all descended from Abraham from Ur (Iraq) who would have been, I'm guessing, kind of olive skinned, like Saddam Hussein or "Chemical" Ali or George Clooney?
