Published Saturday 16/03/2013 (updated) 18/03/2013 10:29
BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) – Fourteen Palestinian pilgrims were killed Saturday after their bus turned over on the Dead Sea road near Jordan’s al-Rama neighborhood, the Amman-based daily al-Ghad reported.

Five others were in critical condition, according to the report.

The newspaper quoted sources in Jordan’s Public Security Directorate as saying that a bus carrying Palestinian pilgrims who performed the Umrah pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia collided with a truck and a small car before it turned over.

The truck driver was also killed in the accident.

Palestinian religious affairs minister Mahmoud al-Habbash confirmed to Ma’an that a bus carrying pilgrims turned over en route to Jordan’s King Hussein Bridge crossing.

“We are contacting Jordanian officials for specific details,” he said.

May Allah SWT heal the wounded and grant the dead paradise. Amen. Inna lillah wa inna ilayhi raji3oun. They died returning from omra, that is a blessing. To the wounded and to the families of those who were in this accident, i say: be patient and Allah swt will reward you. Ya Allah protect them and help them and protect and help all the people who are suffering in Palestine, in the ummah and in the world. Only you can save us humans. Ya Allah swt liberate Palestine and end our pain. Amen.
