TEL AVIV, Israel (Ma'an) -- An Israeli soldier tried to set himself on fire on Sunday at a military base in Tel Aviv, Israeli media reported.

The soldier doused himself in flammable liquid but was stopped by an officer, an army official told the Hebrew-language Maariv newspaper.

He had tried to attack his superior after a heated argument that began Sunday morning, the official added.

The soldier was arrested and handed over to military police, who were unable to determine the cause of the attempted self-immolation, the Ynet news site reported.

This soldier is probably breaking down from the crap he is required to do in the occupied territories. Many soldiers recently had been refusing orders due to illtreatment of superior officers to the conscripted soldiers. Jerusalem Post , Haaretz had both reported about the unit in The Golan that abandonned their post in protest of illtreatment by superiors....
