JERICHO (Ma'an) -- Twelve Palestinian pilgrims injured in a bus crash in Jordan arrived in Jericho on Monday after receiving medical treatment in Jordan, Palestinian police said.

Governor of Jericho Majid al-Fityani organized an official welcoming reception on the Palestinian side of the Allenby Bridge crossing terminal.

Palestinian officials, including crossings director Nathmi Muhanna, attended the reception.

Special coordination was arranged with Israel to facilitate the entry of the injured Palestinians into the West Bank, police added.

On Saturday, a bus carrying Palestinian pilgrims who performed the Umrah pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia overturned on the Dead Sea road.

Fifteen Palestinians, mostly from Jenin, were killed, and over 40 people injured.

The bodies of those who died were returned to the West Bank on Sunday, and a public ceremony was held in Jenin.
