NABLUS (Ma'an) -- A young man was injured on Saturday after an old land mine exploded south of Nablus, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported.

The mine exploded when Hamooda Qwariq, 21, was moving about in his village of Awarta. Qwariq was moved to the hospital and his hand was severed.
