EL-ARISH, Egypt (Ma'an) -- Egyptian border guards on Wednesday detained four people suspected of planning to smuggle weapons and blueprints of Egyptian security buildings into the Gaza Strip, an Egyptian security official said.

"We have captured four people near Rafah crossing (on the Egypt-Gaza border). They were attempting to smuggle blueprints and designs for Egyptian police, army and intelligence facilities in the cities of Rafah, Sheikh Zuwaid, and el-Arish," the security official told Ma'an.

"In addition to the blueprints, they had automatic weapons, ammunition, bombs, landmines, and anti-aircraft shells," he added.

Rafah, Sheikh Zuwaid, and el-Arish are in Egypt's Sinai, near the border with the Gaza Strip.

The official said the suspects admitted they were planning to take the documents and arms to contacts in Gaza who intended to target the sites.

Hamas has isolated itself, first with their assaults on Israel, now from their attempted assaults on Egypt. All non-governmental Arabs under Hamas domination are, and will be, paying the price for this bunch of maniacs.
