RAMALLAH (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces have banned lawyers from visiting a man suspected of fatally stabbing a settler in Nablus, the Palestinian Prisoners Society said Wednesday.

Salam al-Zaghal, from Tulkarem, on Tuesday fatally stabbed a settler while he waited at a hitch-hiking spot in the occupied West Bank.

Al-Zaghal was subsequently shot by Israeli border guards and transferred to hospital.

Israeli authorities informed the PPS that al-Zaghal is under anesthetic and is banned from receiving visits.

The PPS said they will continue efforts to visit the suspect.

The suspect has to finish hanging himself in his cell or something first.

#1 you are right, But this is how it works in Israeli jail. The jailers use what is reffered to as " Physical Pressure" ( AKA torture) , sleep deprivation , loud noises , extreme temps , hadncuffing in contorted and difficult positions for long time , threats of rape , sodomizing with objects , threats to harm suspect's families etc.. For weeks till the suspect signs a confession admitting to whatever Isarel wants . They sign admissions in written in Hebrew which the suspect does not understand.

"The only democracy in the Middle East" bans lawyers from seeing Salam al-Zaghal. He may yet get a "heart attack" while in the care of the Shin Bet.

Shalit never murdered anyone, and he spent 5 years in jail without even one day of Red Cross, lawyer, or family visits.
