QALQILYA (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces on Monday raided a school in the Azzun Atma village in the northern West Bank district of Qalqilya, the school said.

Headmaster Jamal Ayyoub of the Azzun-Beit Amin School said the army was trying to take over parts of the school in order to complete the separation wall, a statement read.

The Israeli forces took the school's dimensions as well, which Ayyoub said was aimed at implement the wall's construction.

He appealed to UNESCO to intervene, calling on the UN heritage body to "stop this crime against the school and the students."
