Egypt army kills 4 militants in Sinai

EL-ARISH, Egypt (Ma'an) -- Egypt's army killed four militants in the Sinai peninsula on Saturday, security officials said.
Egyptian forces clashed with Islamic militants in a school located in the city of Sheikh Zuweid, with four militants killed and several detained during the incident.
Earlier, Egyptian forces arrested a man suspected of involvement in attacks on security forces in Sinai. The 40-year-old man is accused of taking part in an attack in El-Arish which killed four police officers.
Egyptian forces destroyed several smuggling tunnels under the border with Gaza on Saturday, security officials told Ma'an.
Last week, 25 Egyptian soldiers were killed by militants in an ambush on two buses in north Sinai.
Since the military coup that toppled Morsi after massive nationwide protests against his rule, militant groups have launched almost daily attacks on troops and police in Sinai.
