JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- President Mahmoud Abbas met with Jordan's King Abduallah II on Wednesday to update him on negotiations with Israel.
Abbas praised Jordan's support for Palestinian efforts to establish an independent state, the official PA news agency Wafa reported.
Meanwhile, King Abdullah II said Jordan would continue to be in close contact with Palestinian officials throughout negotiations.
The king reiterated Jordan's support for Palestinian aspirations to establish a state on 1967 borders. He warned against Israeli settlement activities and unilateral actions in Jerusalem, which he said threatened peace efforts.
