HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Fatah on Wednesday organized a sit-in protest in Dura near Hebron in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails
At the protest, Hebron governor Kamel Hamad stressed the Palestinian leadership's support of prisoners. He called for the release of all Palestinians from Israeli jails, particularly those with health problems.
Issa Qaraqe, minister of prisoner affairs, called on all Palestinians to support prisoners. He said medical reports proved that prisoners were suffering from critical conditions due to medical neglect in Israeli jails.
Women's affairs minister Rahiha Diab, Dura mayor Sameer al-Namora and delegates of the Palestinian Prisoners' Society also attended the protest.
