HEBRON (Ma'an) -- A man assaulted by Israeli forces late Monday has been transferred to hospital for medical treatment, medics said.
Israeli soldiers stationed at the entrance to Shuhada street in the center of Hebron attacked Mufeed Sharabati before detaining him, Youth Against Settlements said Monday.
The group said that earlier Israeli soldiers raided Sharabati's home, which is undergoing construction work.
After a long discussion, the soldiers agreed to allow some construction materials to be brought into Sharabati's home on the condition that he demolished a recently built bathroom.
After demolishing the bathroom, soldiers refused to let the materials in and began mocking Sharabati, leading to a heated argument.
He was then assaulted by the soldiers and arrested.
After being released from custody hours after his arrest, he was transferred to hospital to be treated for serious cuts and bruises.
