HEBRON (Ma’an) – Israel's prison service on Monday transferred a Palestinian prisoner held in Rimon prison to Suruka Medical Center in Beersheba after a sudden decline as a result of throat cancer he has been suffering.

A statement by the Palestinian prisoner’s society highlighted that 38-year-old Mahmoud Salih al-Sharha was in serious condition. The statement added that since al-Sharha was diagnosed with a tumor, he “has not received any treatment.”

The prisoner’s family told Ma’an that he was diagnosed with cancer two years ago.

Al-Sharha, from the Hebron area, has been jailed 11 years and is serving a 22-year sentence.

What the Israelis failed to do, god is doing to get rid of this scum murderer. No matter how much the Israeli doctors will try to save his life, he's on his way to hell.

A ban on smoking in all areas of jails in England and Wales is being considered by the Prison Service. Perhaps the Israeli Prison Service should stop handing out free cigarettes to prisoners.
