JENIN (Ma'an) -- Arsonists on Wednesday burned down the accounting office of al-Aarqa village council near Jenin.
Head of the village council Ayid Wakid told Ma’an that the assailants broke into the second floor office through the window. Then they broke into the door and set the council’s accounting files on fire.
Most files were backed up on flash drives, Wakid added.
Police have opened an investigation in the matter, and civil defense determined that the fire was arson, he said.
