PA minister of economy meets Turkish counterpart

ANKARA (Ma'an) -- Palestinian Authority minister of national economy Jawad Naji met his Turkish counterpart in southern Turkey on Wednesday to discuss bilateral economic relations.
Naji met Zafer Caglayan in the city of Mersin to discuss economic and commercial relations between Palestine and Turkey, a PA statement said.
The PA minister is due to take part Wednesday in the first meeting of Arab and Turkish ministers of economy, commerce and investment in the southern Turkish city.
The officials discussed the possibility of exporting Palestinian products to Turkey, as well as preparations for an international conference on Palestinian commerce due to take place in Istanbul in October.
Naji has also reached an agreement with the German Development Bank and a Turkish company about creating an industrial zone in Jenin.
