HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Israeli settlers attacked residents of the Hebron district village of Susiya while they were picking olives Saturday, injuring three Palestinians, a village councilman said.
Jehad al-Nawal, head of Susiya's village council, told Ma'an that the settlers beat and injured Nasser, Khalil and Sameeha al-Nawaj'a.
Al-Nawal added that settlers often target Palestinians during the olive harvest and warned fellow villagers of the potential for further attacks.
According to a 2012 report on Israeli settler violence released by the Palestine Center, a Washington-based nonprofit, every year the olive harvest period sees the highest peak in attacks on Palestinian civilians.
