2 Bedouin mayors re-elected in Negev

BEERSHEBA (Ma'an) -- Final municipal elections results were announced in four Negev Bedouin towns Wednesday morning, according to a Ma'an reporter in the Negev.
In Rahat a second round will be carried out between the incumbent mayor Sheikh Fayiz Abu Suheiban and his competitor Talal al-Qreinawi two weeks later after the former received 37 percent of the votes and the latter got 36 percent.
Voter turnout in the town was 87 percent after 22,663 of eligible voters cast ballots.
In the town of Kseifa, the incumbent mayor Salim Abu Rbea was re-elected for another term after a narrow margin victory of only 89 votes against his competitor Khalid Abu Ajaja.
In Arara al-Naqab, businessman Mutawi Abu Arar was elected after he received 500 votes more than his opponent.
And in Shaqib al-Salam village, the incumbent mayor Amir Abu Muammar was re-elected for a second term.
