HEBRON (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces on Thursday handed out three stop-work notices for houses and agricultural properties in the Wadi Aziz area in Idna village west of Hebron, an official said.
The mayor of Idna, Hashim Tmeizi, said Israeli forces handed a notification to a house belonging to Tareq Mohammad Itmaiza and agricultural properties belonging to Mohammad Ahmad Faraj Allah. The Israeli forces instructed Faraj Allah to demolish 12 agricultural properties he has owned for 10 years.
Three days ago, the Israeli forces handed notifications and stop-work orders for properties belonging to the Idna association for cooperation and livestock development.
Tmeizi called on governmental and human rights organizations to support the Palestinian people in Idna as the village is in Area C, which is controlled by the Israeli military.
In the al-Ghamqa area in Idna village west of Hebron, Israeli forces claimed that two houses were not constructed with appropriate permits. The houses belong to Hamdan Mohammad Bashir and Mohammad Khalil Hamdan.
Israeli forces raided the village and handed notifications to people there. They closed the main entrance of the village until 8 a.m., preventing Palestinians from going to work.
Justifying the move, Israeli forces distributed a statement from the military commander of the Hebron area warning residents in the area not to tamper with the separation barrier.
