CAIRO (Ma'an) -- The Egyptian army on Saturday discovered and demolished a major network used for storing and smuggling fuel through the Gaza borders in al-Barahima neighborhood of Rafah.
A Ma'an reporter in the Sinai Peninsula quoted Egyptian sources as saying that secret tanks were used to store diesel before it is pumped via pipelines. Four tanks made of cement and three plastic tanks were uncovered.
Furthermore, Egyptian forces uncovered and demolished two smuggling tunnels with their craters inside residential houses in Rafah.
One tunnel was used for smuggling people and another for goods.
About two tons of dried cannabis were also found in a farm in El-Arish city in North Sinai district.
