Police detain convicted murderer in Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Palestinian security services on Sunday in Bethlehem detained Ayman Allan Ahmad al-Wahsh, 35, who had been previously convicted of murder in absentia.
A spokesman of the national security forces in Bethlehem told Ma'an that a special unit detained al-Wahsh, who is originally from the village of Zatara east of Bethlehem.
Al-Wahsh was convicted of the murder of Mubarak Mahmeed in 2006 in Bethlehem.
A spokesman said that Al-Wahsh was handed over to the police in order to continue the investigation.
