HEBRON (Ma'an) -- A teenager was seriously injured on Sunday after an unidentified device exploded south of Hebron, medics told Ma'an.

Medics said that a device left by Israeli forces in an area east of Yatta exploded and injured 16-year-old Maher Adil Najajra, without providing further details.

Najajra was rushed to Hebron Governmental Hospital.

A spokeswoman for the Israeli army said she was not familiar with the incident.

The internationally recognized Palestinian territories of which the West Bank and East Jerusalem form a part have been occupied by the Israeli military since 1967.

Journalism has standards, just like warfare has war crime standards, so - Please explain why a photo of a boy crawling through a barb-wire fence is part of this story about "explosive devices", and - Please refrain from such inappropriate pictures (& Titles) in the future.

It is his parents fault. Instead of teaching him how to hate jews and how to throw rocks, they should teach him not to play with dangerous toys

To @ #1: 'Journalism has standards...' It's true. Perhaps in taking what Israeli outlets practice as 'good enough,' Ma'an is setting the bar too low.

- You are correct that "Ma'an is setting the bar too low". However, - Israel's standards for both war and journalism are easily within, if not in fact far exceeding, every accepted international standard of conduct !! - God Bless America and Israel, as He curses those that curse them !! - Amen Brother !!
