HEBRON (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces on Tuesday morning detained six Palestinians from the villages of Beit Ummar, Yatta, Dura, and Sir in Hebron and took them to an unknown location, an activist said.
Mohammad Ayyad Awad, spokesman of the popular committee against the wall and settlements in Beit Ummar, said the Israeli forces raided several houses in the village.
Locals said that an Israeli military force raided al-Karmel area in Yatta and detained two brothers.
They also raided Dura and detained one man before confiscating motorcycles from his house.
Israeli forces detained one other person from Sir village, Awad said.
An Israeli military spokeswoman said eight people were detained overnight including one from the city of Hebron but not in outlying villages.
