GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Over 30 people have been injured in Gaza in the last 24 hours as a region-wide storm tears though the roofs of meager housing in refugee camps.

A spokesman for Gaza's Ministry of Health told Ma'an that at least 18 of those injured suffered serious to moderate wounds, and were taken to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis.

A five-year-old boy was badly hurt by a rock that fell from a house's roof in Khan Younis refugee camp in the southern Gaza Strip Thursday, witnesses said.

He was rushed to Nasser Hospital nearby, locals told Ma'an.

Meanwhile, nine of the injured were brought to Abu Yousif al-Najjar Hospital in Rafah, also in the southern Gaza Strip.

Two were admitted to Kamal Udwan Hospital in northern Gaza and one was brought to al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.

Brisk winds and heavy rains overnight damaged several houses and caused power cuts in areas across the coastal territory. Tin boards covering roofs in refugee camps were torn out in several areas.

This is all Israel's fault, right pro - Palestinians ?

The European Union should stop funding Palestinian civil servants in the Gaza Strip because money is going to officials who do not work. 90 of the 125 employees at the National Audit Institute of Palestine said they did not work. In another sample, 40 percent of civil servants were not working.

Too bad for those whose homes were damaged. On the happier side is that an abundance of rain will refill the cisterns and waterways.

And I thought they were living in tin shacks bought by the zionist Ashkenazi, Mizrahi, and Maghrebi Jew khazar european invaders siege. But no here are buildings intact with gas guzzling 4X4's floating off. Not a donkey to be seen.

1-5 are all sad, mocking this calamity. Where are the international NGO's to help the unfortunate Gazan's. Oh I forgot, probably not allowed to cross into Gaza.

For some ignorant ones here: Try living in an open air prison, children growing up in fear, being terrorised by drones and F-16's. Being without electricity for 12 to 18 hours. For 6 years they are under blockade, an inhuman situation, as a collective punishment. Where do people live like this? And if you judge on one photo #4, you show your stupidity. #2: You copied a part of an article. I wonder how much dirty politics are involved in this so-called research.

Carson - Well Israeli ethnic cleansing did cause the camps to be created... How many roofs collapsed on the homes you stole in Haifa ?

That was plan from the start of Israel to lock people behing the wall, build jewish settlements and compleately cut Gaza from the world. No import or export is allowed even after two times carpet bombing and massacring. Israelis trying every way possible to make their life miserable and not treat them as human being. No cement for repairs was allowed for years, no agricalture equipment, no humatarian aid is reaching them they way it should be. Some food is brought so people would not starve.

Right, Carson, even the heavens are controlled by the Jewish conspiracy to rule the world.

@8 You can ''wonder how much dirty politics are involved in this so-called research''. But please give generously, and tell your church to donate shoes as well as money.

#7) What ethnic cleansing? Where? Also, explain to me why there are "refugee camps" inside a land, Gaza Strip, that belongs to... the "refugees"? Some Gazans live free in Gaza, and some in refugee camps? Why not dismantle the camps and live... in Gaza City, for example?

Huge war tunnel from Gaza to Israel, was revealed not long ago... that's Aid money, used for military, instead of civil infrastructure. fix the city drain, for the benefit of the population, instead of wasting money and concrete, on terror, which would make it even worse on the civil population. that's government corruption in the pictures.
