BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- A young man in the city of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip died of asphyxiation on Saturday, Gaza-based Palestinian News Agency Safa reported.

Hamza al-Amour, 22, died Saturday of asphyxiation from a fire he was kindling in his room to stay warm, according to medical sources at the European hospital.

The Gaza Strip is currently under a state of emergency due to severe weather conditions caused by a historic storm front moving south across the Levant.

Regardless of this harsh weather front coming down on Gaza, we all know that 1.8 MILLION(1/2 are under 18yrs)Gazan men, women, children&babies would NOT be suffering so extremely, were it not for Israel's cruel, unusual, indecent ethnic-punishment blockade on Gaza, now endorsed by Egypt Mubarakite junta,AGAIN!The storm is bad & people are flooded out in sewage/garbage & rain! But they could MANAGE more,&stay warm,if Israel lifted its illegal"diet"cum-blockade & stop bombing CIVILIAN power-plants.

Y'all really think people want to suffer and die and reject opportunities to thrive and live peacefully don't you? Are you seriously implying that this kid asphyxiated himself on purpose, that he willfully ignored opportunities that would save his life? This is what oppression causes. Suffering and death. Wake up.
