GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- A man from Gaza who was reported missing by his family over a month ago is being held in an Israeli jail, relatives said Wednesday.

The family of Omar Ismail Wadi, 22, say that he called them on Wednesday to inform them that he was detained by Israeli forces after crossing the security fence between Israel and the northern Gaza Strip.

Wadi, from Jabalia refugee camp, was reported missing by his family over a month ago. He has been shot and injured twice over the past two years near the security fence in northern Gaza.
