JENIN (Ma'an) -- One Palestinian was killed and at least six others were injured after Israeli forces raided Jenin refugee camp and entered the house of a Hamas leader and prisoner.

Locals said undercover Israeli forces arrived at Abu al-Hayja’s home in a car with Palestinian license plates before clashing with Palestinians who noticed them.

Palestinians threw an improvised explosive device at the Israeli forces who called for reinforcements.

Around 25 military vehicles arrived in the camp and fired live ammunition at Palestinians, injuring three people critically. Two people were shot in the stomach and one in the head.

One person died on the way to hospital, an Israeli army spokeswoman told Ma'an. She said military medics were treating the injured Palestinians after the incident.

Witnesses said Israeli forces were refusing to allow ambulances near other injured people.

The spokeswoman said Palestinians fired at army personnel who "retaliated in self-defense."

Army spokesman Peter Lerner said that "operations like this are aimed at preventing the terrorists from reaching our towns and abducting our civilians and attacking Israeli commuters on the road."

'Army spokesman Peter Lerner said that "operations like this are aimed at preventing the terrorists from reaching our towns and abducting our civilians...' But the terrorists did reach Jenin, and they must have at least intended to abduct somebody.

One wonders what the 'improvised explosive device' actually consisted of. Under the circumstances, it's a relevant question.

There is Nothing Wrong with the Situation of: - a "Palestinian being killed" in Self-Defense, and - a "house of a Hamas leader", being Raided in Self-Defense, and - Peace and Survival of both peoples have increased because of this !!!

There it goes again, Zionist Israel promoting violence in order to defend itself against Islamic terrorists. Why can't they just leave these Palestinians be? After all, Jews have a history of self-abnegation and victimhood. Why should they counter their long history of loss now? Israel, lay down your arms and die!

Toby, Colon, ayman. Palestine has no army, navy or marines. No weapons to speak of and no vehicles. The object hurled at the IDF vehicle was, most likely a rock. Retaliation with live ammo of M16s and 30 or 40 troops is about right for Zionist forces. Did anyone get the why of the invasion of private property with no reason?

Re 'Colin Wright' #6: 'There it goes again, Zionist Israel promoting violence in order to defend itself against Islamic terrorists. Why can't they just leave these Palestinians be?...' Also not me. Further evidence that other than falsehood, Zionists have no arrows in their quiver.

To Tobias #5: 'and - Peace and Survival of both peoples have increased because of this !!!' It follows that peace and survival of both peoples can be enhanced further still if Hamas teams go into the homes of Jews in Israel and kill Jews in 'self-defense.'

Number 1This is such a lie. The boy that died was my sisters a on. He is not a Hamas leader or a prisoner. An innocent 23 year old eating sweets at a friends place. It just happened that friend lived in the Jenin refugee camp. People who have already lost everything and still have the Israeli army terrorizing them every day. I was there in August, I have seen this first hand. One of the guys in the group was wanted, so the Israelis with their sophisticated equipment killed the wrong person.

Number 2: My nephew was shot in the thigh, taken by the special forces in their undercover outfits. They were driving the local telecommunications company van. He did not receive any medical treatment by the "military medics". He was taken to the Jallamy checkpoint where he was left to bleed to death. How do you explain dying from the wound to the thigh. They then called an ambulance to take him back to Jenin. Such a waste of life and absolutely no point to any of this.

To Ahmed #12: 'Number 1This is such a lie. ' Of course it's a lie. Everything connected with Israel is a lie. That's the first thing to be understood.
