BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- The Palestine Liberation Organization on Sunday released a video commemorating the Christmas holiday.

"Every Christmas Palestine celebrates the birth of one of its own, Jesus Christ," the video's Youtube description says.

The animation features a pope-like figure wandering Palestine's streets, passing Israeli checkpoints, barbed wire fences, and incidents of settler violence.

Pope Francis is scheduled to visit Palestine and Israel in May.

Doesn't show him throwing a molotov cocktail to try and kill the passengers in an Israeli civilian car, nor strapping a bomb on himself and blowing up an Israeli bus. Oh right, that's because the Palestinian Christians never adopted the same positive proactive attitude to committing war crimes like their Muslim neighbors.

I do hope the Israelis ask the Pope, what has happened in Middle Eastern countries to Christians who can no longer continue to live in the Middle East: we all lose something immensely and irreplaceably precious when such a rich tradition – dating back 2,000 years – begins to disappear. It comprises a rich panoply of church life, including the Antiochian, Greek, Coptic, Syrian and Armenian Orthodox Churches, the Melkite, Maronite, Syrian Catholic, Chaldean and Roman Catholic Churches.

doesn't show the izraeli soldier or settlers attacking this innocent Palestinian, nor stealing his land, nor kidnapping him to disappear him under administrative detention, nor murdering him in cold blood. oh right, that's because it's a Christmas video and showing the daily proactive izraeli brutal war crimes and crimes against humanity would prove how izrael does not want peace.

Sorry PLO! Nice try,but slightly too 'diplomatic' &doesn't honor the message of Liberation of Palestine from Judeo-Christian political/radical ideological(Zionist)occupation. You don't put the spotlight on IOF standing, with guns? The cartoon hides them in the shadows, when Palestine's MAIN PROBLEM since 1940's is Israel's MILITARY oppression.Perhaps the figure in the chariot of war, should be accompanied by an IOFwith a MIG &settlers guiding his orchestrated tour? Peace,Salam,Shalom!

It's Xmas, Julie. Let's see the Xmas video of you holding a Remington and pumping lead into a dozen tribes of native Americans you genocided off the earth, before bringing in millions of slaves to build your settlements and farm the land you stole from the surviving natives. Let's show how your pure Xmas spirit put the remaining natives on reservations and denied them and the blacks the vote for 300 years, so Julie could live in luxury and point fingers at others and call them "occupiers".

I like the video and think the PLO is displaying some graciousness there which is appropriate and to be respected. Israelis' need not be asking the Pope anything. He'll be asking the questions. Ma'an News is fairer to Christian Christian voices (not Zio-Christian) than are some Arab Muslim outlets or Jewish outlets.

#1- Brian, sadly the video doesn't show the IDF killing people, or 'settlers' destroying olive trees, or 'Price Tag' vandalising graveyards, or white phosphorus bombs being dropped on Gaza either. Instead this very unassuming video shows a fraction of what the landscape would be like for our Lord Jesus Christ if he were to visit his homeland today. Persecution existed then & sadly it exists today. **YES, Mel (4), it would be very nice if it were Shalom, Salem & Peace for ALL of God's creation.
