BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- The Palestinian ambassador to Russia said Sunday that Palestinian-Russian relations would show great improvement in 2014.

Relations between Palestine and Russia are already greatly improving, Fayed Mustafa told Ma'an. But he said they would improve even more as a result of President Mahmoud Abbas' scheduled visit to Russia in January.

He said three agreements would be signed during the visit: one between the Russian and Palestinian ministries of health, one between their ministries of interior, and a third between the Russian and Palestinian customs agencies.

The three agreements will entail training staff, participating in events, and mutual cooperation, Mustafa added, without providing further details.
