HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Freed Palestinian prisoner Naim Shawamrah was hospitalized late Wednesday due to serious deterioration in his health condition, the Palestinian Prisoners' Society said.

Shawamrah was taken to an emergency room in Dura south of Hebron Wednesday night, said Amjad al-Najjar, director of the Society's Hebron office.

Early Thursday, doctors said his condition was worsening, and transferred him to al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron, al-Najjar said.

Shawamrah was released Tuesday morning along with 25 other Palestinian prisoners who were detained before the Oslo Accords. He spent 19 years in Israeli jails and in 2013 was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy. Throughout his final days in prison, he was unable to walk.

Israel agreed to release 104 Palestinian veteran prisoners from Israeli jails in conjunction with US-mediated peace talks with the PLO. Tuesday marked the release of the third round of prisoners.

Yet another sad case.. So many it seems.. Contracting fatal cancers, and fatal infections as they are released... To burden the families.. And the community some more... Strange things put in to the food right before release... Such a sick, and perverted society...

# 2) Shriley & 4) Rachamin Dwek... you forgot to mention about the Palestinians murdered by the settler/ IDF terrorists. There's two side to a story the one you Israeli cronies seem to ignore. With occupiers grabing their land every day what else do you expect eh? Shriley perhaps we should send them to grab your land in Aus. lol

AKeenReader: Really? How many "Settlers" have climbed into a Palestinian home in the middle of the night and murdered a sleeping family? How many have been "Suicide Bombers"? How many have strangled teens with shoelaces? Smashed childrens' heads in with rocks? Sniped a baby? You have no idea what you are talking about and seeing as how it was YOUR nation that created this situation you have a hell of alot of nerve saying anything.

To those who attack me personally.. Thank you so much.. To attack in a personal manner, it means that there is a kernal of truth, and it struck a nerve somewhere.. It would be wiser to ignore the message.. But to draw more attention to it puts all you at a disadvantage.. Thank you again..
