NAZARETH (Ma'an) -- A top committee representing the Palestinian community in Israel has called for opposition to a potential land and population transfer proposed by Israeli officials which could strip tens of thousands of their citizenship.

The Monitoring Committee of Arabs in Israel called on its members to rejection any peace resolution based on ethnic or racial transfer, and announced plans to prepare for protests against the idea.

A member of the committee told Ma'an that their next meeting will discuss forming a delegation to meet with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to make clear their rejection of any potential transfer plan.

The member added that the issue was discussed previously with Abbas, who promised not to support it in any way in the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations.

The call comes two days after Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said that he would refuse any peace agreement with Palestinians that did not entail the transfer of Palestinian-Israeli citizens into the future Palestinian state.

This could potentially entail redrawing Israel's borders to exclude hundreds of thousands of Israeli citizens who are not Jewish, while annexing Jewish-only settlements built in the occupied West Bank on confiscated Palestinian land.

Although the majority of Palestinians were expelled or fled from their homes inside Israel during the 1948 conflict that led to the creation of the State of Israel, some Palestinians managed to remain in their villages and their descendants today make up around 20 percent of Israel's population.

http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4473953,00.html All the reports I have seen is that the majority of Arabs in Israel do NOT want to live under Palestinian rule. Give the Fatah-Hamas split, recent EU condemnation of PA financial mismanagement and the repeated reports of Hamas enforcing fascist rule in Gaza, who can blame them? Smart guy that Lieberman - he is bringing out the grassroots reaction against Israeli Arabs moving to the new Palestine.

Gee, where are all the foaming anti-Zionists on this one? It seems that, far from being a difficult place for Palestinians to live, Israel is apparently so good for Palestinians that they are now organizing to remain Israeli citizens rather than become citizens of... Palestine.

The Prawer Plan is nothing more than an illegal displacement, ethnic cleansing of non-white-Jews!We've seen it all before with French pushing Jews into French ghettos,Euro-'Fathers'pushing"redskins" into'reservations'.Australian Aborigines into brutal stations &'missions'&of course Jews into ghettos/camps,gas chambers during WW2.Zionism can't kill 80,000 ISRAELI CITIZEN Bedouin outright, but they'll enclave,'concentrate'starvethem in ghettos, only for Zionists to TAKE THE NEGEV TOO!

Where is the international outrage about this enforced ethnic cleansing of Palestinian-Israelis from their own country. Mass displacement & eviction of Palestinian-Israelis from Israel, who are no doubt spoiling its Zionist character in the interim. Why is the international media not documenting this as evidence for the ICC. Where is Mr Kerry? Where is the UN? Why is no one doing anything? Where are the good Samaritans to help these people? Scandalous, poor show!
