JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- President Mahmoud Abbas is scheduled to visit Russia on Thursday and meet with President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

A statement from the Kremlin said that Abbas and Russian officials would discuss bilateral relations between Palestine and Russia as well as the political situation in the Middle East.

Abbas will also meet with Christian and Muslim representatives.

Putin visited Palestine in 2012 and toured the Nativity Church before attending the opening of a Russian cultural center in the city.

Cool! They chould do the 2-man Bobsled together? Oh, but no,Abbas is hollow,so there'd be only Vlad's mass for momentum& speed! Maybe he could do the Luge instead? LOL! PA faction-president Abbas would spend his time better by UNIFYING pluralistic Palestine, with Hamas, through factional reconciliation& NATIONAL ELECTIONS before Sochi!
