Palestinian arrested at settlement checkpoint in Hebron

HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces on Thursday arrested a Palestinian who allegedly attempted to break through an Israeli checkpoint in the southern West Bank.

An Israeli army spokesman Luba Samari said in a statement that a Palestinian man had smashed into the gate of a checkpoint with his car near the entrance of the settlement of Beit Hagai south of Hebron.

No injuries were reported.
