NABLUS (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces arrested eight Palestinians in overnight raids in the West Bank, locals told Ma'an.

Witnesses said soldiers raided the villages of Madama and Beita in the Nablus district and detained 22-year-old Izzat Risq Nasser and 19-year-old Ahmad Abd al-Karim Dweikat.

In a village near Bethlehem, Israeli soldiers detained a coordinator for the local committee against the separation wall and settlements.

Locals said that Israeli troops ransacked the home of 36-year-old Muhammad Brejiyeh in al-Maasarah and took him to an unknown location.

Meanwhile, in the Hebron district, Israeli forces detained three men and two minors.

Locals identified the men as Muatazz Nasser al-Din, 20, Safwan Ahmad al-Jaabari, 20, and Muhammad al-Qawasmi.

An Israeli army spokeswoman did not return calls seeking comment.

The internationally recognized Palestinian territories of which the West Bank and East Jerusalem form a part have been occupied by the Israeli military since 1967.

It must feel great for palestinians when they go to sleep in their own bed and wake up in israeli prison. Good for them

Obviously bored, why other wise would they detain a coordinator for the local committee against the separation wall and settlements & ransack a house. Can't someone find them some constructive work to do, like helping shore up Al Qazeem's tunnels, or something.
