HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Two Israeli soldiers and five Palestinians were injured Monday evening in clashes in al-Arrub refugee camp north of Hebron, witnesses said.

Israeli ambulances evacuated the injured soldiers. One was hit with a Molotov cocktail in the foot, and the other with a brick on the upper body, they said.

Five Palestinians were also injured with rubber-coated steel bullets while dozens suffered from excessive tear-gas inhalation.

Clashes started in the afternoon when Israeli soldiers were heavily deployed in the area, witnesses added.

An Israeli army spokeswoman said clashes occurred in the camp but said she was unaware of injuries.
